Currently, these NC (for non-catalogued) lists are principally for thematic railway items which do not appear in the SG or Domfil railway catalogues or, sometimes, for items which are listed but for which an illustration will be particularly helpful. Items in these NC lists do NOT also appear in the text-only lists under the 'World Railway Thematics' heading on this website, so you need to view both to see our full railway thematic stock.

How to order: The image takes precedence over the text, if you find a discrepancy between the text and the image. Only the Scan Ref at the end of each listed item clearly identifies which stamp you are ordering, so it is vital that the full 'Scan Ref' is included with EVERY item you order, even if you discover occasionally that some number I have used is wrong! In the very few instances where two stamps are noted as being available, you may receive a similar item to the one shown. In all other cases, you will receive the actual illustrated stamp. Ecuador Revenue and Telegraph Stamps :
The very attractive fiscal stamp of the Ferrocarril de Puerto Bolivar was the subject of several printings, identifiable by small shade differences. Specimen stamps were produced with each printing, each Specimen overprint being slightly different. Offered below are both Specimen Fiscals and the national Telegraph overprints applied to these railway revenues. The Specimens always have a small punch hole in addition to the overprint.

The TELEGRAPH OVERPRINTS: These exist in Black or in Red, reading up or reading down, and the length of the overprint is either about 26 mms or between 31 and 32 mms. The final 'S' of 'TELEGRAFOS' is not infrequently weak or missing on the longer version of the overprint.

These stamps usually have good side margins but rarely have both the top and bottom margins well clear, because of the way they were printed. Ruanda-Urundi

SG 13 overprinted 'URUNDI'. The overprint is not very clear and appears nearest to the colour of the Havre overprint but I do not believe any of these were sent to the colony or would normally appear used.
